This swim club was established in 1988 and, using the exciting award system of coloured badges, teaches swimming skills to children from age 4 to their teens. We teach the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) to swimmers so that they can become more proficient in the water and are introduced to the sport of competitive swimming. We also teach the life-saving skill of swimming to non-swimmers. Our prices are very competitive and we allow a full hour in the water, twice a week, for your children. (10 weeks / 20 one-hour classes) Both groups will develop a comfortable relationship with the water and the stamina to keep themselves safe while enjoying the delights of swimming. These skills are not luxuries but essential knowledge for every child. Many of our swimmers go on to top competitive levels of swimming. We also get a great many of our swimmers coming back to our club as coaches, passing on their experience and skills to the next generation of children. We are proud of our programme, our coaches and our success. At the end of each session, there is a meet, complete with fun and awards. Parents are encouraged to watch, cheer and help. |
